European Commission team visits AU

Visakhapatnam: Project leaders sponsored by European Commission on Monday visited the Department of Marine Living Resources, Andhra University to review the establishment and functioning of Marine Monitoring Laboratory (MML). The MML has been established as a part of a research project granted to Prof P Janakiram. The team will be at AU for three days.

Team members Prof Jose Acuna of University of Oviedo, Spain; Prof Georgios Georgio of University of Cyprus and Dr Beatriz Tintore, Archipelagos institute of Marine Conservation, Greece were later felicitated by Vice Chancellor Prof PVGD Prasad Reddy. The visiting team appreciated the infrastructural facilities developed by the Department of Marine Living Resources as part of the European Commission-sponsored research project.
